Cross Country!

             ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŽ‰ Fun Run Activities!! ๐Ÿˆ

As Filipino people say '' Maligayang pagbabalik! '' - Welcome back! On the 11th of September our school had our cross country run and our fun run activities. The Fun Run is a fundraiser that all the students in your class have to do. The students in your class sign into a site and they fund raise as much money as they can in a certain amount of time and they get lots of prizes for the money they raise. They people fund raise them to do skipping for 15 minutes, score 25 soccer goals, run a long run and do a obstacle course run.

On the day everybody came in their house colours. They got into their year groups and they went around doing different activities. There were also some different activities like fun and games, running warm up and cheering. After the day everybody had sore legs. My favourite part about the fun run was the skipping because I like skipping and because it was a way to get fit and a way to get all your energy out.

At the end of the day I had a blast and I hope I get to do this wonderful thing again!

Atristic art

          Magnificent Cultural Art Pieces๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ–Œ

This week our Senior Syndicate has started creating our visual art cultural people, representing our school's different, unique cultures. It was a long process, each class was assigned two cultures. Then each class drew in their art books what they think the two cultures would look like. Then with a lot of deciding the class voted and picked out two drawings to paint. The adults chose the two drawings with the most votes and those were going to be our art pieces.

Our teachers cut out pieces of wood that we could paint on and they drew an out line and all the details and then we started painting. We were paired into groups and during class our teachers took out different groups to do a half an hour painting section.  My classes two cultures were an Sir Lankan girl and an Afghani boy.

I really enjoyed paining because it was a change from every usual day and it was fun and creative. We have nearly finished our art pieces and I can't wait to see them finished. Once all the art pieces are done we are going to hang them up on the back fence of our school so them when people come up and down the backtrack they will see them.

Here are some awesome photo's showing how much fun we had. Blog ya later.

Challenging Camp 2019

            ๐ŸŒจ⛷ My Freezing adventure ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ‚

It took years of looking for gear but the day finally came. It was 8:15 in the morning and the senior syndicate were on a bus heading to Mt Ruapehu. With lots of stops we finally made it. A week later camp had finished, camp zoomed past for me. But after camp I learnt lots of new experiences. We stayed at the lodge - the crossing and there even was a games room and a cool movie room in a wardrobe that looked exactly like the one from Narnia! We also went to the awesome hot pools!!!!! And there we got 2 hot dogs and a cookie!

Smashed car we sore while in the bus to
Mt Ruapehu!
One of my experiences was when you hoping of a chair lift make sure your partner has not fallen over otherwise you will end up tumbling over then and you might get hit by one of the chair lifts! Though It was a snow blizzard at Mt Ruapehu when I was skiing, I still enjoyed myself a lot. Especially when I got to go on the cool Gondola's and chairlifts! I think that If anybody gets the chance of going to Mt Ruapehu, you should defiantly go! It's an amazing journey that you will never forget and you learn heaps from it!

Plus we also got to go real sledding on snow, it was really fun when you went flying when you stopped! (don't worry, it didn't hurt) My favourite part of camp was trying skiing for the first time because it was really good  and I hardly feel over.

Ski Camp

     ๐Ÿ”❄Mt Ruapehu, here we come!!!⛷๐ŸŒจ

Tomorrow is ski camp and I'm so excited. The senior syndicate of Waikowhai Primary is heading on a bus to Mt Ruapehu that will be - 5* degrees! I am feeling nervous because recently on the news it said that there had been an avalanche! I also feel nervous because this is the longest time I have been away from my cats! As well as being nervous I'm also excited because I get to try out new things and take home different experiences!

Probably the place that is going to push me to my limits is going to be when I'm skiing in Happy Valley! Luckily my friend Zoe is a really good skier and goes there very often with her mum. Hopefully she can help me ski for the first time. Going to camp I will gain trust, friendship and self - management. It will test my limits and will really challenge me.

I think after camp I will feel relieved that I'm back in my comfy home and that I'm safe back  with my family. I think I will also feel happy that I went on this adventure and happy that I enjoyed myself. Well that's it from me, remember always try different things. Blog ya later!

Squash Learning!

                                  ๐ŸŽพSquash lessons๐ŸŽ‰

On Thursday the 9th of August, the senior syndicate had their first squash lessons with a person named Jude from Squash Auckland. We all had fun learning all about Squash. We are going to do squash for the rest of the year. We each got in partners and practised and tried to bounce the ball to each other without stopping. If you don't know what squash is go to http://www.squashauckland.org.nz/Blog where you can learn how to probably play squash. Well that's it from me, blog ya later and enjoy the awesome photo's!

My narrative

                     The Mysterious kitten. . . . .

For the past four weeks the senior syndicate has been planning, making and editing our narratives. Our narratives all started with a true story that happened in the weekend. As time slowly went by we exaggerated our story's to make them more adventures and exciting. My story is called the Mysterious kitten, it's about me in the cinema's and people won't be quiet.

With help from a kitten we solved the problem (no spoilers!).  Step-by-step, everyone finally finished their narratives. I think that next time I could add less adjectives because I think I got a bit carried away. My favourite character is the kitten because I love cats! Click here to see and read my narrative, Enjoy!
What do you think about my narrative?
