On Sunday some people from our school running club went on a adventurous timed obstacle course. They ran in different groups and got a real medal at the end. I didn't run but that sounds like a lot of fun! They were all tired at the end, some people got a certificate for coming 1st, 2nd, 3rd and all the rest. In one of the runs there were 66 adults and children! You would have to be really fast to be 1st! Here are some photo's of the fun day!

African drumming
🥁Drumming show! 🥁
Welcome back bloggers to another good post of mine. On Thursday the 17th our whole school had some people from African drumming come and teach us some drumming lessons. The two people had a van full of different drums that make different sounds. Each drum had a different name. We sat in the hall and we shared a drum between two people.
They taught us how to do some of the tunes / beats. There were two different types of beats, a Base ( a big sound) and a Tone ( a small sound. ) We all had fun drumming and we all learned different beats. I enjoyed making different sounds. Here are some photo's of our drumming lesson! Enjoy!

Letter box drop!
Anti - bullying letterbox drop!✏
Welcome back bloggers! On the 19th of March we went around our neighborhood dropping off our anti - bullying t-shirt messages that we made the day before. We all split into groups and everyone got 3 messages each. We all worked really hard to start and finish our messages. My favourite part of the day was decorating my messages and being creative of how to design the t-shirt. Here are some photo's of our t-shirts and us dropping of our letters! Enjoy!
And remember, Bullying is not cool and not okay!!!!

Literacy Tumble
Literacy tumble 💻
As French people say, Nous saluons le retour - Welcome back! To get started this term our syndicate started a Literacy tumble that we had to finish by the weekend. For those of you that don't know what a literacy tumble is, it is slideshow on our Chromebooks filled with activities that we have to get finished Independently. Red slides are must does, green is should do's and blue is could do's. I found the slideshow easy to work through and I liked working on it by myself because it allowed me to concentrate more. My favourite slide to work on was the slide were we got to pick 2 famous people to be your parents! Here is my slideshow, Enjoy and have a great day!
Duffy book Assembly
Welcome back bloggers to another fabulous post of mine. This week our school had some visitor's visit our school to teach us all about books and how important they are.
Every term we fill out a form picking 2 books that we would like to have. And every year we have a Duffy assembly were the people talk to us about books and they order our books and we take the box of books to class and read them for a while and then we get to take them home!!
I think reading is really important because you learn from books and there is at least 1,0000 different book and stores to read from! I think books are especially important for kids because they learn new things and it gets there brain working.
Our special guest speaker Ryan Bridges. For those of you that don't know Ryan Bridges, last year he was one of the reporters on Newshub on Tvnz 3. This year he is on a radio station called Magic Talk in the mornings. He talked to us about how he used to read a lot when he was a little kid. I think reading is a important skill that everyone should learn.
In the end I really enjoyed the assembly. Well that's it from me, Blog ya later and have a good Easter holiday!

Narrative Writing
Welcome back!!!
Welcome back bloggers to another fabulous term. To get started this term we have been finishing off our narratives. Last term in week 8 we got to start these imaginative story's - that was a lot of fun. My story is about 3 Adventurous kittens that get kidnapped by lion cubs but of course like any other good fairy tales they escape. I love writing narratives because they're fun and all you have to do is use your imagination. Stories can be whatever you want them to be! Here the link to my narrative, Enjoy and let you imaginations run wild! Have fun!!!
