Hockey Zones

                        🏒Hockey Zones🏑

Welcome bloggers, have you ever played hockey? Well I have, last Tuesday on the 18th of June a group of year 5 and 6's went to Mt Roskill Grammar for the Hockey Zones. We all had a blast playing hockey on the turf wearing our mouth guards. We lost 2 games and tied 2 game nil all. We each had our own important position to play and everyone had a turn on and off the turf. We practised hard every Tuesday and Thursday at school. We couldn't have done this without our teacher / coach Ms Lane.  Thank you to all the parents who came to support us. Our group was an awesome group, in our team was Cassie, Jamie, Nikhil, Ishaan, Faris, Rio, Demetrius, Peter, Apollo and me. We all enjoyed our experience and I hope I'll be able to play hockey again some other time! We'll that's it from me, have a look at the awesome photo's!

Vegetable smack-down

         🥕Our Vegetable smack-down!!🍆

As Spanish people say, "dar una buena acogida!" (Welcome back!) This week our syndicate has been working in pairs to complete a vegetable task. We spent lots of time researching our vegetables and when the day finally came we all had one minute to tell our syndicate about our vegetables. My vegetable was called a Butternut Squash. It was very fun and interesting researching this vegetable because it had some interesting facts about it. The most interesting fact was that Butternut Squash is good for health, including the ability to protect your skin and is good for your hair. Well that's it from me, have a nice rest of the day!             Enjoy my vegetable facts! Click here to see it!

Choir singing!

               🎶🎤 Singing practice 🎼🎵

On Thursday the 13th  of June, our school Choir walked to Hay Park School to practice singing for a concert at the APPA town hall. We were singing along with 7 other schools, Hay park Primary, Hillsborough Primary, Riverside Primary, Mt Eden Primary, us and 2 other school's. Our main conductor was a man named Jonathon (know as Mr Lambert). We also learned a little bit of a new song! For the concert we have to learn 15 songs, that's a lot of singing! Our singing teacher is Ms McGrath, she is very enthusiastic about singing and is a nice teacher! At school, every morning tea on Tuesday's, we practice at our school as well as Thursday afternoons! Well that's it from me, enjoy the rest of your afternoon.

Reading Work!

                   📖Personal response📚

As French people say, Nous saluons le retour! (Welcome back!)  On Friday, the 24th of May, our syndicate went on a Climate Change March on Queen street. The week before we made some awesome signs and marched up and down Queen street. We wore bright orange beanies so we didn't get lost in the huge crowd! A couple days later we made a response document to reflect on the climate change march. We looked on a lot of websites about the climate change and one of the websites was called the Stuff article. My favourite bit of the march was lying down and shouting different chants because it was fun! Here is my response on the Climate Change march. Enjoy!!!!!
